Sam Mushman

Sam is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, and currently the Director of Wine Education at Landmark Hospitality.

 

He was formally the Food & Beverage Director at Edgewood Properties. It was here, he opened VintEdge Wine Bar in Somerville NJ in October of 2020, under the Edgewood umbrella. Sam found his love for wine when he ran the wine bar at Willow Creek Winery in Cape May NJ. He then spent years working in steakhouses, while acquiring his Sommelier certifications alike. Sam was then the head Sommelier at Jean-Georges Public Kitchen. There he was promoted to Wine director and managing the wine program for PUBLIC Hotel. Sam then went on to run the Food & Beverage program at Arthouse Hotel NYC. It was here where he launched Arthouse Wine Bar in the Spring of 2019. 

 

Sam has been a stand-up comedian on the NYC circuit for over a decade. He has been featured in the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival, Hoboken Comedy Festival, Jersey City Comedy Festival, The Wendy Williams Show, ZenLive TV, MNN and was a radio host at BBOX Radio in Brooklyn. As a Wine Director and Sommelier, Sam has been featured in Vinepair, Somm in the City, Eater, Wine & Spirits Magazine, The Manual & The New York Times. Sam’s latest project is his show “Vino-Comic”, an interactive comedy show about wine, which he tours at wineries all over the east coast.

 

Sam loves bringing comedy infused wine experiences to private groups, including corporate gatherings, parties and retreats.
